In his animated presentation Michael told the story of reorganizing and reinventing Catholic Healthcare West out of a period of massive financial instability to become the 8th largest hospital system in the United States. Critical to their transformation has been streamlining their leadership, embracing innovation and monitoring and enforcing system-wide standards for quality, safety, patient and employee satisfaction and productivity. Around 60 people attended this event, hopefully taking away key lessons from overseas.
