How Labour's ASBOs failed to protect us
Max Chambers reveals to the Sunday Express just how ineffective ASBOs are.
"For years Labour has hailed ASBOs as its most powerful weapon in the war against street yobs.
But research by the respected Policy Exchange think tank exposes widespread failings that leave thousands of victims vulnerable to estate bullies and costs £5.85billion a year.
Report author Max Chambers said: "There is a massive gulf between what the Government tells us about anti-social behaviour and what is actually happening. The ASBO was supposed to protect the most vulnerable in our society but has been shown to be hopelessly ineffective"."
