Dean Godson is the new Director of Policy Exchange. He takes over with immediate effect from Neil O’Brien who has joined the Treasury as a Special Adviser to George Osborne MP.
Godson has been at Policy Exchange since 2005 where he ran the think tank’s security research. He has a deep knowledge of a range of domestic policy issues having been Chief Leader Writer of the Daily Telegraph. He also worked as Associate Editor of The Spectator and was a Contributing Editor for Prospect Magazine.
He is the author of, Himself Alone: David Trimble and the Ordeal of Unionism, widely hailed as one of the most authoritative books on the Troubles and remains a Visiting Professor at the University of Ulster.
Policy Exchange will continue to focus its research on three core domestic themes; Jobs & Growth, Social Mobility & Poverty and Public Service Reform.
