Environment
Environmental issues are covered in much of Policy Exchange’s research work since they frequently link into other economic and social issues.
Our three part series on housing (Unaffordable Housing, Bigger Better Faster More and Better Homes, Greener Cities) and our book on the destruction of London’s double-deckers (Replacing the Routemaster) incorporate comment on critical environmental challenges.
However, climate change is now so important an issue that we will be covering the environment through a series of dedicated projects in 2007 and beyond. Not in isolation though, since we must aim for solutions that link effectively with other policy and research areas and that work within the framework for stable economic growth.
We are in the process of establishing our priorities for this dedicated environment research agenda within the areas of energy efficiency, energy security, technical solutions to climate change and enhancement of local environments.
